What is a Bosch Error Code E24?

It means that the dishwasher is not draining properly due to the drain filter being blocked.

Recommended solution/fix steps

There could be several reasons for it. To find out the cause, please check the following things for an E24 error code:
1. Check the inlet hose and ensure it’s not kinked or damaged.
2. The pump cover may be loose. The pump cover is located at the bottom of the dishwasher underneath the filter. Remove the filter to reveal the pump cover and ensure that it’s not loose. If you have trouble locating it, review your owner’s manual.
3. If the dishwasher drain hose is connected to a garbage disposal’s dishwasher drain connection, ensure that the plug is removed from the disposer’s dishwasher drain connection.

• Check your dishwasher circuit breaker

How to restart/reset/reboot your Bosch dishwasher?

There often isn’t a way to reset the washing machine but what you can do instead is power cycle it: Unplug it (or turn off power at the circuit breaker), wait some time for the electrical charge to clear out of the dishwasher (usually 1 to 5 minutes at most), and then power it up again. This is the closest you can get to a reset of the dishwasher. A power cycle can, in rare instances, resolve your issue all by itself. Most of the time it won’t, though, and you’ll need to troubleshoot the issue you’re having in order to resolve it.

To remove hard water deposits and limescale buildup, use the Bosch descaler a few times a year. Simply start the longest, hottest wash cycle on an empty dishwasher (don’t add detergent). After 30 minutes add one box of descaler to the bottom of your dishwasher and let the wash cycle continue. Once that cycle has finished, run another wash cycle.

How often should I clean my dishwasher filter?

The filter should be cleaned every 3-6 months, depending on usage. It can be found at the bottom of your dishwasher. Simply remove it and remove debris by running it under water with soap and a soft brush.

Additional tips for cleaning your dishwasher

Make sure the spray arms are clean and not clogged. Just run it under water to see if any of the holes are blocked. If they are, use a toothpick to loosen any debris caught in the holes.

To clean the exterior, use a damp cloth to wipe the door seals. Wash stainless steel with lukewarm water and mild soap using a soft cloth, wiping in the direction of the steel grain. Then condition with the Bosch stainless steel conditioner. Do not use the conditioner on logos, control markings and black steel.
